STAN DAVY 1922 - 2011 Stan passed away peacefully on October 21, after a bravely borne illness. He was married to his wife Barbara for 63 years, who passed away in 2006, still missing her kindness and love. Having joined Hertford Public Library at the age of 15, his interest and dedication resulted in responsibility as Librarian for over 20 years, later as a Hertfordshire County Mobile Librarian until early retirement in 1981. He always enjoyed contact with the public and became well known to readers in Hertford and the surrounding districts. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and his dear sister Muriel. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 12.30pm at Harwood Park Crematorium, Stevenage, SG2 8XT. No flowers please but any donations to the Isabel Hospice, WGC c/o Powell Funeral Service Ltd, Watton Road, Ware. SG12 0AA. 01920 463260.
