NEWCOMBE Colin James Newcombe, devoted husband to Eileen and loving father of Ian, passed away on February 23, at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. Happily married to Eileen for over 30 years, Colin was unexpectedly widowed in 2003. He demonstrated considerable stoicism and strength in rebuilding his life without Eileen, continuing to act as Treasurer for the Herts and Mid Herts Football Associations and also the Old Ealonians Association, right up until his death. He was also President of the Herts FA in 2010. He will be sadly missed. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1.45pm at St Giles Church, Codicote. Family flowers only.
