PHILPOTT PETER, (Dr). Died peacefully at home in Welwyn Garden City on 13th December aged 98. Beloved husband of Joanie for 70 years, devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather; Peter was a wonderful and supportive friend to all he met and leaves a lasting legacy of kindness. Funeral service at Harwood Park Crematorium, Stevenage SG2 8XT on Saturday 14th January at 11:00am. All enquires to Austin's 01707 390018.

I am saddened to hear that Peter has passed on. We go back a very long way, in fact I started my working life at Roche in the Research Division in 1969 and later working for Peter in the Research Office. He was a kind, thoughtful and considerate person and very amenable even when I went to Australia for six months he took me back working alongside him again. We have stayed in touch one way or another throughout the decades and often spoke of our time together at Roche. He will be greatly missed to everyone who knew him.
