WALSINGHAM Yvonne Passed away on the 11th March and in doing so achieved her final objective which was to die in peace at home. She took up residence at the age of 4 in the dark days of 1940 and remained in place for a further 84 years. Yvonne wishes to thank her many long standing friends who enriched her life and joined her in developing a wide range of skills and interests. She was a great contributor. At work with Smith Klyne French, she became a training officer and helped many young people to progress in life. In retirement she became a school governor, a teacher to help primary school children develop reading skills and set up a group of people to form a Bonsai club in Welwyn Garden City which has enthused members for 40 years. The funeral service will take place on Monday 8th April 2024 at St John's Church in Lemsford at 10am followed by the cremation at Harwood Park Crematorium at 11am.
