Welwyn Garden City's Howard Centre looks set to welcome a new tenant, with a 24-hour gym moving into the shopping hotspot.

The Gym Group is set to take over Unit 29, formerly home to Next, and although no official opening date has been revealed their website stating the site is "coming soon".

A planning application, which is currently under consultation, has also been submitted by the business to make changes to the unit.

"Our gym, positioned in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, is conveniently located inside the bustling Howard Centre," reads The Gym Group website.

The Howard Centre already has one gym, with Anytime Fitness operating from Unit 54.

The Gym Group opened its first site in 2008, and has since grown to 229 locations with more than 820,000 members.
