Members of Hatfield's Slimming World groups are eagerly whipping up dishes for the Slimming World's Free Food Festival 2024 national competition.
The competition involves each group selecting an overall winner, the 'Master Chef', who will receive an award from their group.
Their recipe will then be entered into the national prize draw.
The stakes are high for the top 10 finalists, as they stand to receive £100 worth of shopping vouchers and their recipes will feature on various Slimming World platforms like the Lifeline Online, the Slimming World app, and the Blog.
Also on offer is a Slimming World goody bag with popular goods.
The top three champions, chosen by judges at Slimming World headquarters, stand the chance to win up to £1,000 in cash.
The first prize includes the winner's recipe being included in the Slimming World Magazine and added to the Slimming World food range at Iceland stores.
In a first, the top 10 finalists, along with their consultants, will be invited to a grand final at the Slimming World’s head office to celebrate the delectable dishes.
The Free Food Festival competition celebrates the broad variety of Free Food which members are allowed to enjoy as part of the flexible food optimising plan.
This plan enables members to tailor their meals to their dietary preferences without having to count or measure.
Slimming World has notably formed an exclusive partnership with Iceland to create a food range that is in line with Slimming World's Free Food concept.
The food range not only aids in the weight loss journey of the members but also caters to busy schedules when members do not find time to cook.
Amy Jefferies, Hatfield Slimming World consultant, said her group enjoyed tasting the dishes and crowning the winners.
Bev Burgess and Jessica Crawley, two of the members, were seen sharing their tea towel prize after preparing a standout dish.
