Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit have stopped three vehicles in Hatfield for being overweight.
The vehicles, including a car transporter and box van, were found to be 700kg, 500kg and 400g over their maximum allowed weights.
In each instance, officers prohibited the vehicle and reported the driver for various offences.
Two of the drivers, who had been on the A1(M), were made to unload their vehicles before continuing on their journeys.
Every vehicle has a 'Maximum Authorised Mass', or MAM, which is the maximum load that can be carried safely on the road. It can be found in the owner's manual of your vehicle.
