A care home has announced they have raised more than £1,000 for a charity by doing a charity walk in April.

The Cooperscroft Care Home in Potters Bar, supported by the town's Mayor Chris Myers and councillors, organised a three kilometre walk on April 27, in aid of the LGBTQ+ Homeless charity.

Over 25 participants, including CEO Pavaan Popat, residents, staff and community members, helped raise a total of £1,200.

The money raised will go directly towards the charity's provision of crucial assistance to the LGBTQ+ community.

By taking part in this event, those involved have made a tangible impact on the lives of individuals in desperate need.

The care home thanked all involved for their ongoing generosity and expressed delight at making a real difference together.
