An appeal has been launched by police after an altercation being two dogs saw one of them punched by a man in Potters Bar.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 2 at around 9.30am in Oakfield Close, when a woman was walking her dog on a lead when a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog, that was not on a lead, approached them.
The dogs got into an altercation before the terrier’s owner approached and allegedly began punching the dog and shouting at the woman.
The owner of the terrier type dog is described as a tall, bald, white male, approximately in his 50s.
"Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward," said PC Rochelle Staddon, investigating.
