A Welham Green-based company has announced a record turnover, netting a cool £50.2m in the last financial year.
Contractor Pexhurst saw a 44 per cent year-on-year increase compared to the previous year.
The company works primarily in refurbishment, with most of its work coming in the industrial and logistics sector.
Pexhurst manages a variety of projects of all sizes, from small schemes to £10m logistics projects.
Martin Vella, managing director at Pexhurst, said: “We’re very proud of our financial results and our continued ability to offer clients a reliable, experienced team to deliver their projects.
"It has been a challenging few years for the construction sector with a number of unexpected events meaning we must remain agile, but we have proven our resilience and successfully contributed to a variety of schemes in the process.
“We want our financial results to highlight that we are a safe pair of hands with extensive resources, capable of de-risking projects."
The company employs over 60 staff, proudly boasting its high retention rate, with 35 per cent of staff having worked for the business for more than 10 years.
It also points to its apprenticeship scheme, noting that since 2018 every apprentice taken on has progressed within the company.
