A car has been seized in Hatfield after its driver was spotted running a red light.

Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit stopped the vehicle on Monday (July 8).

They saw the vehicle running a red light, and stopped the driver. He was found to only have a provisional driving licence.

As a result of the two offences, officers seized the vehicle and reported the driver.

People caught driving alone using only a provisional licence can be fined up to £1,000 and receive up to six penalty points on their licence.
