A planning application has been submitted to build a new home on a residential street in Hatfield.
The plans for 17 Cecil Crescent have been submitted by owner and occupant Lipeng Song, and would see a two-storey, two-bedroom property build on the site, following the demolition of an existing garage.
A planning and design statement implored Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to approve the application, saying: "The proposed development at land adjacent to 17 Cecil Crescent reflects a conscientious effort to create a modern, sustainable family home that seamlessly integrates with the local street scene.
"The meticulous consideration of its impact on the area's character and neighbouring properties underscores the applicant's commitment to preserving the community's aesthetic and ambiance.
"The proposal not only addresses the pressing need for housing within the Borough but also upholds the principles of sustainable development outlined in the National Planning Policy Framework.
"Therefore, in light of these considerations, the applicant believes that the proposal warrants approval and would enhance the vitality of the community while respecting its cherished character and identity."
