A driver in Hatfield has had their car seized due to having no insurance and only a provisional licence.
A spokesperson for Herts police said: "Just going to get petrol isn’t an excuse. Therefore, his car has been seized and he has been reported. Not a great end to the bank holiday for him!"
Meanwhile, police officers have been in South Mimms today (August 27), focusing on commercial vehicles.
"So far, four vehicles have been prohibited for overweight offences - most being at least 50 per cent overweight," said the Herts police spokesperson.
"Know your weight limits to keep your vehicle legal."
