The Woodman Inn in Water End was named winner of the Welwyn Hatfield Times' 'Your Favourite Pub of the Year' award for the second year running.
Owners and staff celebrated their victory by inviting regular customers and members of the public to a free barbecue cooked by chef Stuart Conibear.
In the evening, customers were entertained by live music from pianist Paul Burton.
Ex England Cricket Team captain Mike Gatting, who lives in the area and is a regular customer at the pub, attended on the day.
He emphasised how much he enjoyed the "traditional pub with great restaurant - providing good food and a wonderful Sunday carvery".
Pub manager Jana and her team thanked customers for their ongoing support and custom.
She said: "Without them we couldn’t be here providing a valuable local establishment.
"Winning two years in a row is amazing and are very thankful for all who took the time to vote for The Woodman Inn.
"It is a great opportunity for us to show others what we have to offer from being a traditional pub to restaurant, Sunday Carvery, wedding and party venue."
