Specsavers is set to reopen its Hatfield store following a £350,000 refurbishment.
The reopening will take place on Thursday, October 3, and will be attended by special guests Mayor Cllr Frank Marsh alongside Specsavers Co-Founder and CEO Mary Perkins.
Attendees can enjoy refreshments and cake to commemorate the day, along with a ribbon-cutting.
The refurbishment will see the store opening an additional testing room and bringing its audiology clinic to the downstairs level.
Bradley Foster-Edwards, retail director of Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City, says: "We can’t thank the people of Hatfield enough for their vote of confidence for us.
"In Welwyn Garden City, we found that a number of our customers lived in Hatfield, and we are pleased to be now offer a much closer location for them to go to.
"The refurbishment plans kept people with accessibility issues in mind, which is why we brought the audiology clinic downstairs."
The store will also have updated optical equipment and a refreshed look, with new paint and light-up displays.
Anyone unable to visit the Specsavers Hatfield store unaccompanied due to disability or illness may be eligible to receive care at home via a team of mobile opticians.
