A new nursing home in Welwyn has welcomed its first resident.
Welwyn Grange, situated on Broadwater Road, celebrated the arrival of Mr Donald Westmacott by allowing him and his daughter Jo to cut the red ribbon at the grand opening.
After a welcoming speech from general manager Anjana Palle, Mr Westmacott joined the staff for a glass of bubbly.
Jo said: "Choosing the right care home can feel quite stressful, so we are relieved and excited that Dad's next step is to Welwyn Grange."
Welwyn Grange is a new purposefully built care home owned by a Hertfordshire family, providing 24/7 nursing care.
The home is divided into small households to enable like-minded residents to live together.
The care home offers video tours on its website providing a walkthrough of the entire facility for those interested in knowing more about life at Welwyn Grange.
