A police chief inspector has encouraged residents to sign up to a community messaging platform.
Herts Connected was launched in April and allows residents to receive messages about police matters in their area.
More than 46,000 residents are currently signed up across the county.
Welwyn Hatfield Chief Inspector Pete Frost said: "Herts Connected is a great way of keeping in touch with us, especially if you don’t use social media.
"You will receive messages directly from the police and our partners too if that’s what you choose when you sign up.
"Being part of a community messaging system helps prevent crime in local neighbourhoods and I encourage residents to join up.
"Together we can all play a role in helping to keep Welwyn Hatfield safe."
