Louise Fiddes will race for gold at the 2024 Paris Paralympics after easing through qualification.
The Welwyn Paralympian, part of Hatfield Swimming Club, needed to finish with one of the top eight times from the two heats of the S14 women's 100m butterfly.
And she did just that, clocking one minute 7.91 seconds for seventh best.
She is one of three finalists from Great Britain, world record holder Olivia Newman-Baronius coming through third fastest while Poppy Maskill stormed to the quickest time.
The final is this afternoon at 5.42pm and the Hatfield star will go in lane one.
Fiddes will also compete in the S14 200m freestyle on Saturday before her two main events, the SB14 100m breaststroke on Monday and the SM14 200m individual medley on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old won silver at Tokyo 2020 in the breaststroke and bronze in the IM.
