The Welwyn Garden City branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) held a small service earlier this month to remember D-Day.
RBL members gathered at the War Memorial on Tuesday, June 6, to mark the anniversary of D-Day in 1944.
Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Cllr Pankit Shah was also present.
The town's branch of the RBL also hold similar short services on VE Day, VJ Day and Armistice Day every year to commemorate those who took part in the conflicts, those who were killed or injured and the families of those involved.
Members of the public are invited to join in with these commemorative events by standing with the RBL for 30 minutes between 10.50am and 11.20am. They also observe a minute's silence at 11am.
