A Welwyn Garden City volunteer group has won a Royal Horticultural Society award following their gardening efforts at the town's railway station.
The railway station display was awarded a "level five - outstanding", thanks to the gardening work of the All Aboarders, who tend to the flowers and greenery.
"This is a great accomplishment considering we are only part way through our plan to bring the station up to the level we think it should be," said Lynda Cowan, founder and chair of the All Aboarders group.
"We will be planting out a sensory bed soon, as well as installing more troughs.
"Of course, we must also thank our local sponsors, because without them we would struggle to make such a difference for passengers."
