A festive fanatic from Hatfield, dubbed "Mr Christmas", has decked the halls to spread some much-needed cheer.
Matthew Smith, who has autism, has turned his room into a festive grotto, complete with lights, tinsel, and even disco balls.
The 25-year-old’s is “Mr Christmas”, according to his mother Joanne Smith, who said: “He puts a lot of effort into it. It’s his pride and joy.
“It gets us both in the Christmas spirit and when he shows other people it puts a big smile on their face. He loves to spread that bit of festive cheer.
“He really is Mr Christmas.”

"This is the fifth year he’s done it, and it gets more elaborate every year.

Joking about the decorations, Matthew added: “We’ll have to decorate mum’s room next.”
