The World Food Festival is among a host of events returning to Welwyn Garden City this year as part of a packed schedule.

Welwyn Garden City BID have put together a calendar jam-packed with the following community events, funded by town centre businesses to drive footfall to the town centre and raise its profile.

Welwyn Garden City Food & Craft Market

The Welwyn Garden City Food & Craft Market will be returning from March 2, and will be held on the first and third Saturday of every month in Stonehills Square, celebrating the best of local products, crafters and foods.

Vegan Market

The Vegan Market Co will be returning to Welwyn Garden City on three dates in 2024, starting on Saturday, March 9, followed by Saturday, June 8, and Saturday, October 26.

The event brings together a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and plenty more.

Street Food Heroes

Street Food Heroes is returning by popular demand and will be held four times throughout this year, taking place on April 18, June 20, July 18, and August 15.

Stonehills Square will be taken over by a variety of delicious street foods, drinks and music, from 4 pm to 9 pm, once a month, from April to September, with plenty expected to turn out for this beloved event.

World Food Festival

The World Food Festival is also back and better than ever, with the event now taking place on four days this year.

Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12, will see the town centre into a food lovers' paradise with grub from around the globe, before doing it all again Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15.

The free event has something for the whole family to enjoy from cooking demonstrations, live music, street performers and children’s activities.

Welwyn Garden City Vintage Festival

And finally, Jive Swing and Welwyn Garden City have teamed up once again for the third instalment of the WGC Vintage Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23.

The two-day free event will see more than 100 top internationally acclaimed entertain crowds at the celebration of vintage fashion and vehicles.
