There is delight at a secondary school in Hatfield after a drastic improvement to its Ofsted rating.
Onslow St Audrey’s School was rated as requires improvement back in 2019, but a recent visit saw a new rating of good, with the inspector praising the school as being "welcoming and inclusive".
"I am so proud of our students and staff, and of what this outcome represents for our school community," said headteacher Julie Jones.
"Ofsted have recognised that we have successfully shaped and driven significant improvements in all aspects of our provision.

"Most importantly, they recognise that our students are proud of their school and are studious, ambitious role models.
"We will continue our improvement journey to make the difference to the community that we serve."
Onslow St Audrey’s is part of the Danes Educational Trust, with CEO Josephine Valentine saying the new and improved rating was a testament to everyone involved with the school.
"The achievement is a testament to the dedication of Onslow St Audrey’s staff, the support of the community, and the resilience of the students," she said.
"This report reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in education as well as the strong partnership that has developed between our trust and the school since our collaboration in 2020. Together, we continue to strive for greatness."
