Urgent repairs to a Welwyn Garden City car park are set to take place, following pressure from MP Grant Shapps and councillors.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council agreed to resurface the Moors Walk Car Park after carrying out an assessment of the road surface, and they are in the process of appointing a contractor to carry out the work.
The decision comes after pressure from Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps and Alastair Hellyer, Conservative ward councillor for Haldens, who raised concerns about the "appalling" state of the car park.

"A huge number of residents across the Panshanger and Moors Walk areas of Welwyn Garden City have raised the appalling state of the road surface in the car park by the shops with me recently," said Mr Shapps.
"I’m glad Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council has listened to what Alastair and I had to say. The residents who raised the issue with us are absolutely right - there are potholes everywhere you look.
"Some are so large that it’d be better to describe them as 'sections of missing road' than potholes. I’m therefore pleased that work will soon begin to get the road surface back up to standard."
