Officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team partnered with the council to promote community safety.

Working with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, officers set up stalls in Harwood Hill on Wednesday, May 15 and engaged with residents, offering an opportunity to discuss concerns, arrange fire safety checks, and get advice on crime prevention.

Residents also had the chance to talk to Morgan Sindall Property Services, who were on hand to dispose of bulky waste and carry out minor repairs.

PC Anne Lopez, from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We work very closely with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council on local issues and we wanted to give residents the chance to speak to both of us at the same time.

"It meant they could get an abundance of advice on a wide range of matters and there was plenty of helpful material to take home and read too.

"This was a really well-attended event and we were pleased to be able to help so many residents."

As part of enhancing the community-police relationship, residents are encouraged to join Herts Connected, a new messaging platform, and share their views on policing priorities through the community voice platform.
