Two men have been charged with theft after a number of mobile phones were stolen at Hatfield's Slam Dunk Festival on Saturday.
Adrian Anastasie, 29, of no fixed abode but from the north London area, and Andrei Stan, 28, from Romania, have been charged with 23 counts of theft and one charge of going equipped to steal.
They appeared at Hatfield Remand Court and have both been remanded in custody. They are due to appear at St Albans Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 4.
Officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team were alerted to suspicious activity by security at the Hatfield Park festival, and they arrested two men.
Around 40 mobile phones were recovered, with police working alongside festival staff to reunite the majority of phones with their owners.
The following four phones have yet to be reunited with their owners. Please get in touch with DC Danny Kachouh if you believe you have lost or think your device was stolen at the festival on Saturday:
- A black Samsung with a black flip case
- A black Samsung with no case but on the EE/Orange network
- A black Square Android with no case – with a design of three snakes on the back
- A Samsung in a large black case with a soft outer cover and a hard inner cover
