A common assault which took place in Potters Bar's McDonalds restaurant saw the victim spat at and threatened, with police asking for information about the incident.

At around 7.15am on Monday, May 20, the suspect is reported to have begun a verbal altercation inside the Darkes Lane store, before spitting in the victim's face and then threatening further violence before leaving the scene in a Blue Mercedes van.

"We are keen to talk to anyone that was in the area at the time who may have witnessed this incident and could have vital information for our investigation," said Police Constable Libby Moore.
