Violin soloist Laure Chan will perform at Hertfordshire Philharmonia Orchestra's last concert of the season in Potters Bar.

The concert takes place at St Mary's Church, The Walk on Saturday, June 15.

The concert opens with Schumann Genoveva Overture followed by Brahms Violin Concerto featuring soloist Laure Chan, and concludes with Dvorak Symphony No. 6 - all under the baton of conductor Alvin Seville.

British Franco-Chinese violinist Laure Chan was hailed as a rising star by BBC Music Magazine and on Classic FM's 30 under 30 list, and made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in December 2023.

Laure began violin at the age of five at the Royal Academy of Music in London, then joined the Royal College of Music as a scholar in 2012.

She has gained a bachelor of music, a master in performance and an artist diploma.

Laure released her debut album Tribute to Bach in March 2021, featuring staple works from the composer as well as her own original compositions, drawing inspiration from Bach's music.

Her second album Schumann Violin Concerto was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the Sinfonia Perdita, conducted by Daniel Hogan, and featured her original composition 'Lost in Translation' - a multi-track violin recording.
