Bunny rabbit Boris has been named the Welwyn Hatfield Times' Pet Idol winner for the second time.

Boris, who lives in Brooms Close, Welwyn Garden City, was previously crowned Pet of the Year in 2021.

Owner Kelly Baker commented that for Boris "cageless life is the best life", as he prefers to roam around freely.

Boris, who turned eight in April, was named after former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, back when he was Mayor of London.

Since Boris the bunny's previous win, the UK has seen two new Prime Ministers, but unlike his namesake Boris has managed to reclaim his Pet Idol title.
