Geoffrey Bear, mascot of de Havilland Aircraft Museum, is now a member of the flying memorial group the D-Day Squadron.
He flew in 'Placid Lassie', the squadron's 1943 C-47 aircraft, as part of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Geoffrey's adventure came about when Adam Rowland, the museum's retail manager, met Gary 'Boss Hog' Houghton, crew chief of Placid Lassie, at North Weald Aerodrome.
Gary took Geoffrey - who was suitably decked out in flying gear - on their missions during the commemorations, joining another teddy acquired when the squadron was in Iceland.
Photos of Geoffrey's role in the celebrations will be shared with the other Geoffrey Bears on sale at de Havilland Aircraft Museum, located in Salisbury Hall.
