Welwyn Garden City's beloved Screen on the Green event is taking a "hiatus" for 2024.
The free three-day movie event was popular among the town's residents, with many asking when or if it would be taking place this year.
In a comment on Facebook, organisers Welwyn Garden City BID confirmed that the event would be taking a "hiatus" for this year, but is expected to return in 2025.
"Screen On The Green will be taking a little hiatus this year and will hopefully be returning in 2025," the comment read.
"This year we are offering a Summer of Sport, which includes a week of live action from Wimbledon and a week of live action from the Paris Olympics.
"As well as the two week sporting event we will be delivering a second World Food Festival in September."
Some residents were left disappointed, with one saying: "That's a shame. Fingers crossed it will be back in future, it's always the highlight of my children's summer."
As well as the Summer of Sport and the World Food Festival, there are plenty of other events on in Welwyn Garden City this year, including the WGC Market on the first and third Saturday of the month and Street Food Heroes on July 18 and August 15.
