A driver who was caught transporting a cabin on the A1(M) in Hatfield could be prosecuted for having an overweight vehicle.
Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit pulled over the vehicle on Sunday, and found the building - which is built into the trailer - exceeded the weight limit for driving.
"This interesting combination was spotted on the A1(M) and something didn't look quite right," read an X post from the BCH Road Policing Unit profile.
"It was found to be 30 per cent overweight on train weight and trailer was 28 per cent overweight. The vehicle was escorted by police to unload and the driver was reported for prosecution."
The picture posted also shows a bed inside the cabin, with the unit confirming that it would not have exceeded the weight limit if it was unfurnished.
"When the home is empty it's likely at max permitted weight for the trailer," the post continued.
"However, when furnished it puts it overweight. Not the best decision by the manufacturer, and it really should have been transported on a flatbed, not drawn by trailer."
