Hatfield's Oak Hill Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium has received a prestigious Green Flag award.
The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the UK.
The award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, with staff at Oak Hill praised for their "tireless" work to maintain the "high standards" at the site.
"I would like to congratulate everyone involved at Oak Hill on achieving a Green Flag Award," said Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Award scheme manager, Paul Todd.
"We know that staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that it maintains the high standards of the Green Flag Award, everyone involved should feel extremely proud of their achievement."
Cllr Jane Quinton, deputy leader and executive member for leisure and community, added: "Oak Hill provides a special place for us to celebrate and remember our loved ones. I am delighted our beautiful gardens have been recognised for this award."
