The headteacher at Monk's Walk School in Welwyn Garden City couldn't hide his pride as students collected their A-level results.
There were many success stories with seventeen students achieving all A and A* grades.
These included Annabel Gloyn and Christopher Curnow with three A*s and an A, who will be off to Warwick to read maths and physics.
Lexie Thorne achieved three A*s and an A, and will be going to Imperial to read medical biosciences, while Adam Jones with two A*s and two A grades will also be going to Warwick to read maths.
Headteacher Matt Grinyer said: "We are extremely proud of this cohort, both for their successes in their examinations and for the positive impact they have had on our school community during their time here.
"We wish them the very best as they move onto university, Apprenticeships and employment and look forward to hearing how they are getting on at our presentation evening on December 19.
"A huge thank you to all our staff for the way they have prepared these students for their qualifications and ensured they have the right skills and characteristics to succeed in their next steps.
"Thanks also to our students' parents and carers who provided so much support both for them and to the school in general."
