A man in his 20s has sadly died after falling from multi-storey car park at The Galleria in Hatfield last night (September 9).

Police were called by the ambulance service just before 9.45pm, following reports that a man had fallen from the multi-storey car park.

The man, aged in his 20s, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman added: "We were called just after 9.40pm on Monday with reports that a man had fallen from the multi-storey car park at The Galleria in Hatfield.

"Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and two vehicles from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Emergency Critical Care Scheme were sent to the scene.

"Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
