A former retirement home in Potters Bar which is earmarked as a "unique redevelopment opportunity" has been sold.
Abbeyfield Donaldson Lodge in Manor Road was listed for £1.3 million by Auckland Estates Limited back in June, and has quickly sold just a few months later.
The current building is spread over three floors, which includes 16 bedrooms, multiple kitchens, en suite bathrooms and a conservatory, with the 5,931sqft property sitting on 0.3 acres of land.
Auckland Estates described the build as an "attractive proposition for developers", continuing: "The property, previously used as sheltered housing for the elderly, is now vacant and presents a unique opportunity for refurbishment and redevelopment.
"With its generous size and flexible layout, the building is suitable for a variety of potential uses, such as residential conversion, commercial use, or community projects.
"The property features ample parking facilities, accommodating up to six cars, including one designated disabled space, which adds to its convenience. Additionally, the site includes a garden area, providing a pleasant outdoor space for future occupants.
"This combination of space, location, and potential makes the property an attractive proposition for developers and investors looking to capitalize on its strategic positioning and inherent possibilities."
