Residents and visitors turned out for the annual Hatfield Community Day on Saturday - an event which celebrates the rich culture and diversity in the town.
The town centre was abuzz with celebration at the event hosted by Hatfield Town Council in White Lion Square.
The event showcased a variety of live performances that kept the atmosphere lively throughout the day.
Among the highlights were musical acts like the popular Rock Choir, Justyn the Sax Man, the uplifting Nissi Life Choir, and a DJ who kept the energy high between performances.
The entertainment didn’t stop there - costumed stilt walkers wandered through the square, adding a touch of spectacle and fun for all ages.
The square was transformed into a hub of activity with arts and crafts stalls, food and drink offerings, in addition to the familiar presence of Hatfield Market, where traders came together to offer a wide range of items.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Hatfield, Shirley Asare, Deputy Mayor Mick Wise, and leader of the council, Larry Crofton, all of whom were on hand to join in the festivities and meet with members of the community.
Mayor Asare said: “It’s always wonderful to see our town come together in celebration. This Community Day is a true reflection of Hatfield’s spirit - one of unity, diversity, and togetherness.”
The town council would like to thank all those who participated in and contributed to the success of Community Day, with special appreciation to the performers, vendors, and volunteers who made the event possible.
