A teenage girl has been charged with assault after an altercation at Hatfield's Asda store.
Police were called at 9.15pm on Friday, October 18, following reports of an altercation between a group of teenagers inside the town centre store, with damage reportedly caused to the shop.
A 17-year-old girl - who cannot be named for legal reasons - was arrested and subsequently charged with criminal damage, failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice, two counts of assault by beating and two counts assaulting an emergency worker.
She appeared in court yesterday (October 21) and was released on court bail ahead of a further appearance at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (October 24).
A 17-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and obstructing police, and was bailed pending further enquiries.
