Children are "happy and radiant" and are able to "flourish" at a pre-school in Hatfield, according to a recent Ofsted report.

Safari Stars Nursery in Parkhouse Court was rated 'good' in all areas, with inspectors describing the children’s behaviour as "excellent" and the environment as "exciting and inviting".

Nursery director, Shital Shah said: "We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection.

“At Safari Stars Nursery, we are passionate about creating a nurturing, engaging and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

“This report highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality education and care, fostering each child’s curiosity and independence.

“We are especially proud of the glowing feedback on our positive atmosphere, communication, and our ability to support children’s personal development.”

The report said: “The expertly presented environments and teaching enable children to make secure and consistent progress in their learning and development.

“Staff fully understand how to teach, and use every opportunity to support children to know and remember more.

“For example, following a child's trip to an aquarium in London, children explored topics such as sea life and the city of London.”

The inspector recognised how children were supported to be independent and told to "keep on trying" which, as a result, allowed children to develop perseverance and be able to overcome setbacks.

The report went to on say that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported as staff work closely with parents to professionals to make sure that all children can access the curriculum and make progress.

The nursery was also seen to explore a range of festivals and celebrations.

The education watchdog added: “This helps to develop their understanding of a range of cultures and beliefs.
