A proposal for changes at a Welwyn Garden City church have been submitted after plans to move to a new home were rejected.
The Fountain of Life, which is located at 15 Howardgate, is hoping to change the first and second floors of the building from a church, education and community use to function rooms.
"The proposal as a function room will provide various uses from corporate meetings to formal dinners, parties, and hosting social and business events," the application reads.
The church will be hoping that Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council pushes these plans through, after efforts to move to a new home at Arundel House in Garnell Business Park were rejected earlier this month.
"The application site is designated as an employment area where relevant policies seek to resist the loss of employment land," the council's decision read.
"The proposal lacks evidence to justify the loss of the employment land and as such the application has failed to clearly demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Local Planning Authority that the land or premises are no longer required to meet future employment requirements and business and community needs.
"The proposed development would also fail to provide satisfactory levels of parking, resulting in parking stress for its users."
