Following a very successful captain’s day at Brookmans Park Golf Club last week, Rosie Williams hosted the ladies' version - with equally great results.
The overall winner on the day was vice captain Jacqui Lowe with a score of 43 points in the stableford competition, seven shots under her handicap.
Runner-up Sheila Langley was close behind in second, again playing well under her handicap, and there were numerous prizes for others as well as a raffle which raised £1,195 for Williams' chosen charity.
One day later it was the men who were back on course challenging for the annual Presidents Trophy.
The event is a one day 36-hole tournament and after some low scores in the morning, it was John Dewberry who had the best score.
The best 18 holes in the afternoon came from Peter Smith, however, the overall winner of the day was one of the club’s leading low handicap golfers, Christian Wake.
He finished with a three under par total of 139 for the two rounds and received his trophy from club president Jim Cameron.
