Before ice and frost became an issue, Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club were able to get in another round of races.
A good-sized fleet set off in virtually no wind hoping the better wind forecast would arrive soon.
Not many completed more than two laps in race one with Annette Walter showing the way ahead of David Lambert in second and Roger Morse third.
However, the breeze did not improve so the size of the course was much reduced for the second race.
It didn't change the order of the first and second boats over the line but there was a new name in third. Paul Lohr had arrived late for race one but showed his light wind prowess in the second outing for the field.
Nina Ferguson was first junior.
Despite being severely handicapped to give other helms a chance of winning, Walter and Lambert shared this month’s Wee Auld Mug for the personal handicap event with Lohr in third.
