Potters Bar Bowls Club's women reached the semi-finals of the County Top Club by defeating Berkhampsted BC in a very close and exciting game.
They will play Herts BC at Potters Bar, while their men have reached the quarter-finals of the County Club Championship by defeating Townsend BC.
Their next match will be against Welwyn Garden City BC.
In the St Albans & District two-wood triples competition Steve Jewell’s team defeated Harperbury 23-14, but David Salmon, Barry Woodman and David Arnold lost a very close game by one shot to Harpenden.
In the county competitions, Sharon Astley won her first singles match against her Harpenden rival and David Salmon and Barry Woodman defeated a duo from Welwyn and District BC in the men's pairs.
Steve Jewell and his partner won against Batchwood opponents as Colin Malone and David Sparrow beat a duo from Harperbury.
Pam Rodgers and Diane Jewell progressed to the next round of the women's pairs after defeating a pair from Harpenden.
