A half-time substitution proved crucial as Potters Bar Town secured a dramatic late win at home to neighbours Wingate & Finchley.
Darnell Goather-Braithwaite replaced Isaac Currie at the break with the Scholars trailing 1-0 in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
But after Brandon Adams had equalised, the sub bagged two more, the last of them seven minutes into stoppage time as Bar won 3-2.
Potters Bar manager Max Mitchell was delighted with the impact his substitutes made as well as the response of the entire squad.
He said: "We're flexible enough now to put players onto the pitch that we think can affect games.
"Darnell has done that twice now, he did at Canvey and created two opportunities and he came on today and scored two.
"He has got that in him. I've been watching him for 18 months and tracking his progress and he has done exactly what I thought he would do coming into the side.
"He gets into wide areas, he crosses the ball and has good quality.
"He is a little bit of a street footballer and we just want to round off those edges and keep him on the front foot.
"He's got the quality.
"The reality is the first half we weren't at it and I was a little bit disappointed and had a few choice words to say at half-time.
"But the reaction and the resilience they showed in the second half to come out on top [is great].
"There was a big spell where it was transitional and it could have gone either way.
"It was great that we got the win, players affected it from the bench and in the starting XI.
"All in all it was a good day."
