Potters Bar had to face plenty of rain showers for their latest round of matches in the East Hockey League but at least all of their men's teams got a game.
That wasn't necessarily a good thing for some though.
The first team's unbeaten start to their 2024 Division One South fixtures came to an abrupt end when second-placed Upminster arrived with a 15-man squad and inflicted a fairly emphatic 5-0 defeat on the home side.
The seconds also continued to struggle as they went down 3-0 at home to St Albans, although there was a feeling that the score line perhaps flattered the opposition.
But there was better news for the other two sides.
Aryan Walia hit a hat-trick as the thirds romped to a 8-0 win at St Albans, keeping their hopes of promotion from Division Four South West alive.
Sam Penn and Ben Cade helped themselves to two each while Harry Chambers got the other one, keeping them second and two points behind leaders Hertford.
The fourths also continued their recent good run as they won 3-0 away to Rickmansworth, keeping them third in Division Seven.
Gabriel Banzuelo, Andy Latham and Adrian Clargo, from a well-worked short corner, were their scorers.
