One of the biggest events in the region brought out plenty of athletes from Garden City Runners.
The Cambridge Half is a famously flat course that starts and ends on Midsummer Common in the university city.
And the strong showing at from GCR brought some fine performances.
The first three across the line from the club were Chris Jones (1:19:11); James Huish (1:19:19) and Jamie Rose, running a PB of 1:23:09.
The course is perfect for fast running and both Adam and Felicity Wadley went quicker than before too, clocking 1:24:44 and 1:46:07, the latter ripping a whopping 11 minutes off her previous best.
Also putting in strong performances for GCR ladies were Alex Faulkner (1:38:41), Helen Stafford (1:41:37) and Sofie Marchant (1:52:15).
Ali Riza Eroglu managed 2:01:12 while there were two half marathon debutants - Michael Scutt finishing in 2.15.11 and Gail Munro who clocked 2:18:38.
It was the only half marathon in the vicinity on Sunday although the Berkhamsted Half is the polar opposite of the one at Cambridge.
With barely a flat part in it, the race heads into the hills from Berkhamsted Cricket Club, passing through Nettleden and the Ashridge Estate, before a speedy downhill finish.
First home for GCR and 13th overall was Benj Carr in 1:18:12 was Benj Carr.
He was followed by Gaetano Basiaco in 1:23:27 and five seconds later by Chris Eland.
The first GCR female was Rebecca Barden in 1:50:13, with Kath Evans in 2:30:22.
Wayne Aylott brought it home for GCR in 2:39:23.
Saturday's rain put many off a parkrun excursion but there were still 72 from the club tackling the 5k challenges.
A decent sized squad went to Norfolk for various events.
Samantha Hastie, Sharon Stephens and Willow Gibson ran at Holkham, near Wells-next-to-the-Sea, while Elizabeth Dean, Thippi Rashleigh, Tendy St Francis, Sarah Merrigan and Katharine Farrell opted for the Brandon Country Park, not far from Lakenheath and Elvedon.
Also heading east was Sidney Valentine, who took on the Mile End Parkrun in east London.
Elsewhere, Simon Bostock was the winner at Panshanger in 19:42 while Rob Casserley was ninth.
Jamie Rose warmed up for Cambridge with an 11th-placed finish at Stevenage where Alex Faulkner was fourth lady, also prior to a good showing 24 hours later.
Gareth Askey came ninth at Henlow Bridge Lakes.
