Brookmans Park Golf Club have finalised their fundraising efforts for 2023 by presenting a cheque to the captains' charity.
Brian Hall and Jacquie Lowe held the two top positions at the club but chose to collaborate and collect money for the same organisation - the Change Foundation.
This charity helps young people fulfil their potential and participate fully in society through sport.
A wide selection of prominent sportsmen and women give their time to support the charity, in a extensive range of sports, for people of all ability and disability levels.
Throughout the past 42 years they have successfully delivered award-winning sports intervention programmes to vulnerable young people living in the UK and abroad.
Thanks to the wonderful generosity of the club members, the captains were able to raise a total of £9,284.12 during their captaincy year through a number of events.
The cheque was presented at the club to Alex Bassan, director of business development at the foundation.
A spokesman for the club said: "We continue to develop our plans for the future with a sympathetic extension to the clubhouse to provide a unique resource for residents and organisations throughout the area.
"This is in addition to the club developing additional practice facilities for both members and non-members, to encourage people, young and old alike, into the sport."
