Welwyn Garden City put the disappointment of week one behind them to record their first win of the season in the Herts Cricket League Championship.
Winning the toss and batting first, they made 257-7 from their 50 overs before bowling Hoddesdon out for 211 in the 44th over.
Fayaz Homyoon and Dylan Dhesi did well in the early going, putting on 89 for the first wicket, with the former eventually going on to finish on 77.
He did that in 106 deliveries whereas Radhakrishna Marripati was the exact opposite, taking just 53 balls to amass his 82, an innings comprising five fours and six sixes.
Al Mahmud Hassan made two early breakthroughs to leave Hoddesdon 19-2 but 60 in 31 balls from James Curtis dragged the visitors back into it.
Connor Emerton and Jacob Logan then seemed to get to grips with the middle order but the one thorn in WGC's side was Rob Jones.
He would go on to finish on 54 not out but it was at the other end where the win was claimed, Hoddesdon not able to keep anyone with him long enough.
Hassan would finish on 2-39 with Logan claiming 2-35 and Emerton 2-20.
Knebworth Park clinched a second successive win in Division Two B as they won by 27 runs away to Hertford.
Victory was clinched by U16 fast bowler Jo Hibbins who took a crucial 3-25 in only his second first-team game.
A solid start of 79 from Louis Champion (42) and Haydon Bartlett-Tasker (44) was followed by good contributions from Liam Mitchell (38) and Charlie Randall (28).
Josh Roseberry held the middle order together and accelerating the score with 26 not out while a quick-fire 22 not out from Alex Richmond hoisted the total to 228-7.
Kobie Richmond bagged an early wicket before Alex Richmond (2-35) and Matt Hutchinson (3-53) made further progress into the hosts' batting.
But at 178-6, Hertford were in the box seat before Kobie Richmond brilliantly ran out Johnny Underdown.
Then it was young Hibbins who stepped in to take the final three wickets, clean bowling the last two to clinch victory to dismiss Hertford for 199.
Tewin picked up a superb derby win in Division Three A, winning by eight wickets away to Datchworth.
Having won the toss and put the home side in, Tewin then proceeded to dismantle their batting line-up, leaving them all out for 77 inside 30 overs.
Only Nick Winchester (30) and Tom Vits (17) made double figures as Sai Chaitanya Nanduri took 3-8 and Ash Patel managed 3-24.
Josh Crutchett got 2-17 while last week's seven-wicket hero, Paul Shankster, only managed one this time around, although that was from the only ball he bowled.
The reply was then done in 20 overs.
Hatfield & Crusaders won by three wickets at home to Leverstock Green in Division Four A while Hatfield Hyde had an 84-run over Northampton Exiles in Four B.
Bentley Heath meanwhile won by 10 runs in Division Five A against Boxmoor, Sannan Mohammed getting 53 before Tayaab Qazi took 5-35.
