The 2024 club championship at Brookmans Park produced another exciting day of golf - but the name on the trophy remains the same.
The event forms one of the most important at the club when it comes to competition and the course was in pristine condition for the annual showdown.
Quick greens and fast running fairways meant that each player in the big field needed to be ultra precise with every shot.
The three competitions contested for on the day were the club championship, held over 36 holes, the ladies' club championship, also over 36 holes, and the senior club championship for those over 55, battled out across 18 holes.
All competitions were played off scratch.
The club championship was a close competition providing a nail-biting finish.
Defending champion Phil Embleton opened with a round of 80 which left him in 10th place after the morning.
However, a magnificent 73 in the afternoon saw him retain his trophy by just one shot from Scott Alexander, who posted two rounds of 77 and was just unable to hole a putt on the last to tie.
The ladies' championship turned out to be another titanic battle, this one fought out between Emma Kight and former champion Michelle Gardner.
There was only one shot between them after the morning round but Emma managed to hold her nerve and pull away in the afternoon to win by three strokes.
In the senior championship, defending champion Tony Hutchinson was again in great form to retain the trophy he won last year, beating former club captain Stuart Leigh by one shot.
A spokesman said: "The trophies were presented at the end of play by club captain Mike Williams behind the 18th green in glorious evening sunshine and the winners were warmly applauded by the large group of members who had gathered to witness the presentation."
