Max Mitchell's new-look Potters Bar Town squad has two new names in it - both ex-players of Hitchin Town.
Layne Eadie and Steve Cawley have decided to join the revolution at the Isthmian League Premier Division Scholars, with the aim this year being to push as close as possible to the play-off places.
For Cawley it means a return to the club he served back in the 2006-2007 season, his senior debut year and one where he won the club's young player of the season prize.
The striker, now 32, arrives from Margate, where he scored 20 goals in 47 games, even if it was not enough to prevent the Kent side being relegated.
Prior to that were his spell at Hitchin Town and others at the likes of Hemel Hempstead Town and Concord Rangers
And he is excited to have at least one more chance at step three.
He said: "Everything Max says invites me in and I just want to give it another go at this level.
"I think we can really push this year.
"Considering the season we had at Margate last year, I was pretty good individually, so I was happy with that, and I just want to go and get more this season."
Eadie was another who suffered the heartache of relegation last time out.
Part of the Hitchin squad that went down from the Southern League Premier Division Central, he had departed Top Field before news of the Canaries' reprieve came through.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to the Scholars for some time though, having also played for Hendon, St Albans City and
Potters Bar have also retained two of their young prospects from last season.
Defender Valckx Fernandes was named the supporters’ player of the season last time out in a campaign where he featured 45 times.
Goalkeeper Finn Rushton is also staying at the Lantern Stadium next season.
He made the step up to first-choice goalkeeper after Wycombe Wanderers Laurie Shala had returned to Adams Park to rehab an injury.
It means Bar have a squad of 18 heading into the new season.
They have already brought in the likes of Ronnie Henry from Royston Town and Jamie Dicks.
Another retained name is the front of shirt sponsor.
Bikestrobe, an East Barnet based company supplying new and used motorcycles, scooters, quads and kids pit bikes, will continue their partnership with the club.
The club said: "We would like to thank Marlon Medway for his continued support as we enter the third year of our partnership together.
"We look forward to working with both him and Bikestrobe again in the upcoming campaign."
